This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use the App, related websites, and support channels (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge that we will handle information as described in this Policy.

• “Personal Information” means information that identifies you or could reasonably identify you (such as your email address).
• “User Content” means content you submit or generate in the App, including text, images, OCR output, prompts/questions, and AI feedback outputs linked to your account.
• “Service Providers” means third parties we use to help deliver the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors, AI processing).
• “Aggregated Data” means information combined across users and/or de-identified so it does not reasonably identify you.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Identity Information

• Email address (used for authentication and account recovery).
• User ID and optional display name/nickname (if you provide it).
• Authentication records (e.g., sign-in timestamps and basic security events).

3.2 User Content You Provide

• Writing text you input, paste, edit, or submit.
• Prompts/questions you create or upload.
• Images you upload (e.g., handwriting photos) and OCR text extracted from them.
• AI feedback, suggestions, explanations, and any scoring outputs.
• Saved history items, including drafts and results.

3.3 Support and Communications

Messages you send to us, attachments you provide (e.g., screenshots), and customer support history.

3.4 Usage, Device, and Diagnostics

• Device type, model, OS version, and approximate time zone.
• Interaction events (feature use, button taps) used to create dashboards or reports.
• Crash reports and error logs to improve reliability.

3.5 Subscription and Billing

We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are handled by third-party platforms (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play). We only receive subscription status and purchase identifiers to validate entitlements.

3.6 Cookies

Web-based pages may use cookies for basic functionality. The App may use device identifiers for analytics, subject to your device settings.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide Services: Manage accounts, save/sync writing history, and display AI feedback.
• AI Processing: Send submitted text and images to AI providers to generate feedback and suggestions.
• Improve Product: Analyze usage patterns to improve UI/UX and prompting strategies.
• Security: Detect fraud, abuse, and enforce rate limits.
• Communications: Respond to support requests and send service notices.

5. Legal Bases

Where required by law, we process information based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (security, improvement), compliance with legal obligations, and/or consent.

6. Disclosure and Sharing

We do not sell your Personal Information. We may disclose information to:

• Service Providers: Cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics, and payment providers.
• Legal & Safety: To comply with laws, enforce terms, or protect rights and safety.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live by our Service Providers. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections.

• History: Retained to support long-term review until you delete it or your account.
• Account Info: Retained while your account is active.
• Logs: Retained for a reasonable period for maintenance, then deleted/de-identified.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data. You can request account deletion directly within the App settings or by contacting us at ielts.writing@ariven.com.au.

We use reasonable safeguards like encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. However, no method is completely secure.

11. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The “Last Updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Services implies acknowledgement of the updated Policy.
